Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Overview
Jones Welding & Industrial Supplies is seeking a friendly, reliable Counter Sales Representative for our Gainesville location. This role is the front line of our business — greeting customers, assisting with product needs, and providing excellent service to contractors, fabricators, and industrial customers.
We’re looking for someone with strong people skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Prior industrial, welding, or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required. If you’re dependable, personable, and eager to grow, we can teach the rest.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers at the sales counter
- Help customers identify products and solutions for their needs
- Process sales transactions and orders accurately
- Answer basic product questions and learn our inventory over time
- Maintain a clean, organized counter and showroom area
- Work collaboratively with team members to support daily operations
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong customer service and people skills
- Willingness to learn products, systems, and customer needs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills preferred (Gmail, PDFs, typing, general computer use)
- Industrial, welding, or fabrication experience preferred but not required
- Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
